Public events coming up over the next two months which I am hosting, leading, or otherwise involved.
Saturday, April 29, 10am-12noon, Prospect Park, Brooklyn
I’ll be your guide for City Nature Challenge 2023, at the Audubon Center (Lullwater Boathouse). No registration needed.
Sunday, April 30, 10am-1pm, Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn
I’ll be joining fellow naturalists for City Nature Challenge: Family Fun with Genspace, at the Green-Wood Historic Chapel. Registration recommended.
Saturday, May 13, 2-4:30pm, Flatbush Food Co-Op, Brooklyn
The Great Flatbush Plant Swap, which I co-founded with Sustainable Flatbush in 2010.
Houseplants are always in great demand, as are vegetaable and herb seed-starts. I cannot keep a houseplant alive, so I will be contributing garden-proven native plants from my garden.

Sunday, May 14, noon-2pm, at my Brooklyn garden
Gardening for Habitat with Native Plants, a workshop and tour in my garden for NYC Wildflower Week. Free, but advance registration is required.

Thursday, May 18, noon-1pm: Madison Square Park, Manhattan
I’ll lead a Wildlife Outing through Madison Square Park, finding and talking about the wildlife that live in and visit the park, and their ecological connections.
